The latest update continues to show a shift in the trough development. Originally, the main emphasis
was on Wednesday night and Thursday. We're still expecting snow Wednesday evening, but there is a good chance that it will transition into lighter rain or wet-snow/rain by Thursday morning.
The GFS ensemble indicates that cold air builds in again from Thursday evening until late Friday evening, and this cold air may also bring a period of frozen precipitation.
So, in summary: it looks messy: heavy rain tomorrow, and then heavy snow late in the day and/or evening, then rain possibly by morning, and then a mixture of snow and rain turning over to all snow. However, neither period looks as bad as originally thought last night.
From here on in, we need a bit of luck.
