Weather It Is (From The Tropics to the Far North)

Good Morning:

There were certainly some very large rain drops last night.

The intermittent showers and thunderstorms combined with the warm and humid weather reminded me more of the "Old Country" (New York) than the new (Jerusalem). This was the result of a warm tropical flow of air from the Atlantic across Africa.

However, the tropical weather is departing and a new storm moving in the from the northwest (with colder, but still humid air from the Mediterranean).

There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding rain amounts with the next storm, as there will also be a convective element to the rain as well.

Through Tuesday,  it appears that generally 10 to 25 mm of rain will fall from about Tel-Aviv northward, with localised 25 to 50 mm.  South of Tel-Aviv to Beer Sheva will generally be 5 to 10 mm, with some spots > 10 mm.

However, heavier rain may return on Wednesday from the north to the south and last into Thursday.

The weather will begin to warm up a bit into the following, pre-peach week.
