Weather It Is (A Chill No More, But Missiles in the Air?)

Good Evening:

I have been receiving a number of comments, some complaints, and even encouragement. "Can you keep this cool weather until fall," someone asked? Where's summer, asks the wife?  Me, I thought today's afternoon weather was just outstanding.  There was a warm sun, but cool afternoon temperatures meant that one didn't break a sweat.  Of course, 13 C with a 11 C wind chill this evening meant that there was a chill in the air (and there still is).

Well, no one really cares if the weatherman breaks a sweat or not, and I do have my pride -- so, I have decide that enough is enough (and I want to stay married).

What does this mean for the common folk on the street?  It means that high pressure will start to build over Africa and with it warm weather will return over the next couple of days.  There will be a few days -- mid this coming week -- where we'll hold steady (as an upper level system passes by and brings a few clouds), but then we'll soar upwards to more summer-like temperatures by the end of next week, and there is an even chance it will stay on the warm side into the following week.

This means that Both Yom Zikaron and Yom Ha'Atmahut (Remembrance and Independence Day) should be nice days.  Good days for being outside.

However, the fly in the ointment  is that the border between Gaza and us has become sort of a war zone.  Moreover, the government exported plenty of materials to Gaza that have been turned into tunnels and missiles, so it's possible that Hamas will take advantage of the weather to add its own fireworks to ours.

Why did the government do this?  How else can make themselves relevant (or what better way to stay in power) than to fight a war every couple of years, and then fight the same one two years later, like in the movie Ground Hog day --  over and over again. Of course, I don't really believe this, but the fact that we supply Electricity (and materials) to Gaza that is used to dig, light, and heat their tunnels, as well as to grind the tools that build there missiles has not rational or logical explanation -- at all.
