Weather It Is (-34 C)

An update at 4 P.M: the latest 6 GMT update has 15/20 (75%) members showing that it will snow.

While it's true that we have a small, but potentially dangerous storm to content with in the next twenty four hours (i.e, because of the possibility of flash flooding in small streams), one might be excused for looking ahead to mid next week.

I've never seen three of the  Global Ensemble members indicate that temperatures will fall below -30 C, and even as low as -34 C.  I've never seen -16 C at 700 mb, or -5 C at 850 mb.  Right now, 10/20 (50%) are indicating temperatures below -25 C mid-next week.

So, which way will the weather tilt?  Will this be the coldest and biggest snow storm in quite a while? Stay tuned until after Shabbat.
