Weather It Is (Stuck in Reverse)

One can't say that winter is over. On the other hand, what winter there is (and there is a lot of it) is centered over western Europe, with an extension eastward to our north.

Just below this eastward extension is located our part of the world.  And that's all the story: we get the dregs of winter, but weather neither too wet or too cold.  In fact, as the system to our west strengthens, warm air will be drawn northward and it will feel quite like spring (except in spring, it sometimes feels like summer).

The spring like temperatures will be short-lived, though, before winter makes a partial comeback.  However, it's not enough of a comeback to really make a difference in the Kinneret water level standings, so all we can do is hope that the pattern will shift for the latter half of February (which has an extra day this month!).
